Chikuyu Nishaku-Issun with Tadashi Tajima's approval stamp. Great piece of bamboo. Narrow diameter. Shaved root. Light weight.
Nice sound, properly in tune, responsive and easy to make the notes all the way up to Dai-Kan-no-Re and beyond.
The flute is cracked from above the joint above the #4 hole, down the front to the joint below the #3 hole. Repaired by Funagira Keiji (Senshu Flutes). Repairs done more than two years ago. Photos of crack and raepir below.
